ART
Objectives:
Develop visual inquiry skills to observe and explore their surroundings meaningfully.
Nurture curiosity, imagination, and enjoyment in art-making and art discussions.
Build confidence in working both independently and collaboratively to focus ideas and create artworks.
Foster awareness of and respect for the histories and cultures of key artworks and artists in Singapore and globally.
MUSIC
Objectives:
Acquire and apply musical skills, knowledge and understanding through Listening, Creating and Performing.
Develop abilities for creative expression and communication.
Develop an understanding and appreciation of music in local and global cultures.
Cultivate a life-long enjoyment and involvement in music.
Aesthetics Key Programmes
1. Museum-Based Learning (MBL)
Primary 4 students visit the National Gallery Singapore to explore and appreciate local artworks. Through this authentic learning experience, students learn about Singapore’s heritage, understand how artists tell stories through art, and practise proper museum etiquette.

2. Art and Music Fiesta
The Art and Music Fiesta allows students to experience the Aesthetics through fun and interactive activities. Integrated with the Sports Carnival, it offers a vibrant platform for students to enjoy creative expression alongside physical activities.

3. Art and Music Assembly
Art and Music Assembly exposes students to different art forms and performances in an enjoyable setting. These assemblies nurture students’ appreciation of the Arts and inspire creativity and self-expression.

4. Art Exhibitions
Art Exhibitions showcase students’ artworks and celebrate their creativity. Displaying their art fosters pride, ownership, and greater appreciation of the Arts within the school community.


5. Watch Me!
Watch Me! provides students with opportunities to showcase their talents through performances. The programme builds confidence, encourages self-expression, and develops presentation skills in a supportive environment.

6. P6 Music Modular Co-Curricular Activity (MCA)
The P6 Music MCA offers enriching music experiences beyond the classroom. It supports students’ holistic development by nurturing character, social-emotional skills, and a love for music.
